in response to our fire place

Some of you have commented on the fact that we can not burn candles in our home, but Brian can burn logs. Brian's response to this is he has never fought a fire that was caused by a properly cared for fireplace. (which ours is) But on the other hand he has fought numerous fires linked to candles. Brian also stated that the fireplace is also under the watchful off a trained professional. Remember, all a firefighter is, is a pyro who is trained how to put the fire out. So yes to massive chunks of burning wood and no to small white wicks dipped in wax.
