the front room

So here are the pictures of the front room. Other than the yard this was a major selling point for us. We walked into the house for the first time and loved it. For some reason pictures make it look small, but it actually is pretty long. It is the same size as the kitchen/dining area. You can see Smokey on the stairs, his eyes are a little crazy. There is a story behind the two tv's. The black one is the one we have had since we got married. The grey one Brian bought for $30 at a garage sale the day after we moved in. Our neighborhood is garage sale mecca. There are probably three or four every weekend. But the black one is supposed to go downstairs, we just don't have a place to set it yet. I forgot to include that once we get the ceiling insulated and covered the kitchen will be painted a green/blue. This room will stay white since it has the wood. As far as the ceiling goes, we are going to cover the beams. We know they are cool looking but there is no insulation for that part of the roof so it costs an arm and leg to keep the temprature right. The openings aboce the fireplace/stair will stay thought. Once that is done we will add a ceiling light in this room since it tends to be a little dark at times. Two down, more to go.
