4th of July

Today is a busy one for us. We had to be at the station at 7 am to get for the parade, then march in the parade. We always love that since we see tons of people we know. This year the department choose to throw mardigra beads instead of candy. They were awesome. We were worried about the temprature, but it ended up being in the mid 80's, a little bit over cast and a slight breeze. Talk about perfect. Then we went to the park were the firefighters who were in charge of the tug of war hoses decided to turn the hoses on the wives standing there, which then turned into a full on department and family water fight, with the civilans looking on thinking..."Oh no, these crazies respond when there is an emergency." Tonight is fireworks and Mariocart races at our house. Then hopefully a peaceful tomorrow.

I would like some beads, please! While y'all were alarming the charming citizens of Murray, the firefighters who had to work brought us a trauma. Too bad my pin is on my lab coat, so they couldn't think I was cool.
