life at our house

So this past week has not been the best. Nothing horrible just nothing has gone as planned. Work for both of us is out of control. Brian has seen more fires in the past 4 months than he has in the first 4 years at Murray. All the "old timers" say it happens when the economy tanks. People start fires, which is bad for them but good for my hubby. Which also means the trucks are being used more, which means they break more, which means they end up at Ross to be fixed. The new truck is still not in service, but Brian is living in the new station.
The lab is crazy, as you can imagine. We are one of the main labs in the state of Utah that can detect Swine flu. And every one of those samples comes through my area. I swear every person that crosses their eyes wrong is being swabbed/washed and it is sent to us. On top of that it is the week for Funerals, so we are running short staffed.
On the home front things are not much quieter. Brian wanted to fix the sprinkling pipes that leaked under the house all winter...well lets just say 4 night without water, lots of money later, and countless hours of lost sleep, we have all new plumbing under the house. The only stuff not replaced is the stuff in the walls, but that will be replaced also in due time. Plus Murray thinks it is play time at 2am lately.
I am hoping for a better month in May since April sucked!!!
