new boots
If any of you know Brian you know about his boots. His "Brian size" boots. He no longer knows his shoe size cause the only shoes he wears are specially made around a form of his foot stored at Wesco in Oregon. Well needless to say custom boots are not cheap. And even more expensive when you add Nomex (fire resistant material). We sent Brian's boots up for a rebuild, where they repalce all the worn parts and leave the good stuff behind. This is about half the cost of a new pair. Still with that it is $350. So you can imagine my horror when I got the email yesterday from Wesco saying there had been an issue arise with Brian's boots and that they were damaged beyond repair. But you get what you pay for, which includes the company customer service. So instead of a rebuilt pair of three year old boots, Brian will be receiving a pair of NEW $700 boots the end of January for the price of his rebuild. Woot woot for Wesco...too bad Brian informed me that he would like another new pair to replace his brown ones since these are his black ones. he is one expensive young man.
